In our Village of Donington on Bain, we are very lucky to have a number of Walks that you can access from our garden gate.

My favourite is a short walk up along the field hedgerows and then back into the Village. It is a 20 minute walk at best but somehow it always takes longer.

Could it be something to do with stopping to listen to the birdsong: yellowhammers, skylarks, chiffchaffs and the occasional bird of prey? Or perhaps stop and gaze at the profusion of poppies that definitely weren’t there last week?

Or maybe it’s the fact that back in the Village, you always bump into someone and have a chat? or stop and buy something from our two shops and stalls?

Then it’s back home for a well earned coffee in the garden!
