Vikings Sustainability Voyage
We are installing solar power which should be up and running by early 2025, meaning the Retreat will be self-sufficient when it comes to all energy consumption.
An EV charging station is in the pipeline too.
The Retreat already enjoys water harvesting, sustainable planting, no-mow margins and wildlife areas.
We have high recycling rates, ‘A’ rated insulation, the most efficient water heating solution, digital smart heaters, mains pressure hot water, and a large majority of the Retreat’s feature woodworking is from local reclaimed timber.
We’re aiming to make the Vikings Retreat a place you can visit knowing you’re enjoying an environmentally friendly experience!
